Trephine

• Trephine is a surgical instrument with a cylindrical blade. The device can be employed in the removal of an obstructive flap of the cornea that prevents access to a patient's eye. Dedicated eye surgery trephine blades can be used for several ophthalmic procedures, including corneal and scleral implantation as well as chalazion treatment.
